The Nobel Peace Prize Concert was held in Oslo 11th December in honour of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates for 2006, Prof. Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank. The concert was hosted by Sharon Stone and Anjelica Huston.

Peace Prize Laureate

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2006 is shared, in two equal parts, between Prof. Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank for their efforts to create economic and social development from below. Lasting peace can not be achieved unless large population groups find ways in which to break out of poverty. Micro-credit is one such means. Development from below also serves to advance democracy and human rights.
