The
Norwegian Nobel Institute Fellowship Program 2009 on:
"The Spread of Nuclear Weapons: Past experiences and future challenges."
The Norwegian Nobel Institute runs a small research program on issues related to peace and war. As part of that program the Institute awards a limited number of guest researcher fellowships.
The research program for 2009 will focus on the causes and consequences of nuclear proliferation. For the spring term 2009 the following visiting scholars will be in residence at the Institute as part of the fellowship program:
- Professor Clóvis Brigagão (Brazil)
- Professor Campbell Craig (UK)
- Professor Francis J. Gavin (USA)
- Professor William C. Potter (USA)
- Senior Military Advisor, Dr. Mohamed Kadry Said (Egypt)
- Professor William B. Walker (UK
On 25-27 June 2009, at Oscarsborg outside Oslo, the institute will host an international conference on "Peace, stability and nuclear order: Theoretical assumptions, historical experiences, future challenges".
